Welcome to Fakhir Mergasori International School
Fakhir Mergasori International School (FMIS) is a highly academic, non-selective, co-educational, English-medium, independent day school for students from the ages of 4 to18 years. It provides top-quality education to children of different races, nationalities, and backgrounds. We believe we can add more value to students to enable them to perform to the best of their ability, gain entry to the most competitive universities and achieve success in their chosen career paths. The school allows students to acquire academic competence and interpersonal skills instilling in them high ethical, moral, and civic values.
FMIS was one of the first SABIS® PPP schools to open in Kurdistan and was named after the Kurdish martyr Fakhir Mergasori. Located in Erbil, FMIS opened its doors in September 2008 to more than 300 children in Kindergarten through Grade 3. Today, FMIS educates over 1200 students in Kindergarten through Grade 12.
