FMIS STUDENTS COLLECT DONATIONS FOR LESS FORTUNATE
On February 9, 2019, the students at Fakhir Mergasori International School, a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, participated in a charity campaign to collect donations for children with disabilities in Kurdistan.
Social Responsibility Department prefects in the SABIS Student Life Organization (SLO®) worked with all the grades to collect donations of toys and other items for schools for children with disabilities. On lunch breaks, the prefects would devote their time to organizing, packing, and preparing boxes of donations for delivery to these schools. The students then visited the schools and distributed them directly to the children and also took some valuable time to play and engage with the children.
The purpose of this activity was to instill a sense of responsibility in our students to care for the less fortunate and to help everyone in their community. “I’m really overjoyed to be able to donate to schools for kids whore suffering from disabilities, it makes me glad to think that I’m supporting those who are in need,” said a student.
