FMIS STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN CLEANING CAMPAIGN

On October 16, 2018, SABIS® students in grades 2-6 at Fakhir Mergasori International School (FMIS), a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, were involved in a school cleaning campaign.

The campaign was organized and hosted by the SLO® Social Responsibility Department and the SLC. Students were gathered during their lunch time and divided into five groups in order to keep the collection process safe and organized. Each student was given a plastic bag to collect any garbage around the school.

The event promoted environmental awareness amongst the students and encouraged them to keep their school community clean and tidy. The activity was full of entertainment, and the students were motivated and inspired to make a difference in their surroundings. “I feel happy and satisfied when I see the environment clean, especially when I’m the one who has cleaned it. While I’m cleaning with my friends, I feel like we’re a family cleaning our home,” said a student. Visit the gallery of the event, please click here.
