FMIS STUDENTS RECEIVE PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATES FOR THE KURDISH LANGUAGE
On May 28, 2019, students in Fakhir Mergasori International School, a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, were awarded certificates for their academic excellence in the Kurdish language throughout the term.
The AQCs, respective teachers, and the academic prefects handed out the certificates in front of all the students from grades 5 to 11. The audience applauded and cheered on their fellow students for their achievement.
The purpose of this activity was to reward students who were doing well in their Kurdish exams at school, to highlight the importance of their language, and to motivate other students to do as well as these students in the next term. “My son never studied for Kurdish because he thought it wasn’t important. But after he saw his friends receiving their certificates, he started studying well for his exams. I want to thank the school for making such a certificate that motivates our kids to study harder,” said a parent.
