Grade 1 Students at FMIS Participate in Educational Activity

Grade 1 students at Fakhir Mergasori International School, a SABIS^® PPP school in Kurdistan, participated in an academic activity organized by the SABIS Student Life Organization^®’s (SLO^®) Academic Department on February 5, 2017.

Students were divided into groups, each with a bag full of words. Students where then asked to take the words out of the bag and put them together to make complete sentences. Once the sentences were put together, a group leader was selected to write the sentence on the board for everyone to see. If the sentence needed correcting, the students all worked together to fix the mistake. The purpose of this activity was to help develop students’ language and comprehension skills. It was also a good effort in making learning fun for the young students. “I am very satisfied with the students’ performance and I feel like they all had benefit out of this activity,” shared a teacher.
