Grade 4 Students Visit Zaytun Library to Learn Value of Reading

Grade 4 students at the Fakhir Mergasori International School visited the Zaytun Library on March 8 and 9, 2015, in order to practice and strengthen their reading skills. The SABIS Student Life Organization® arranged the event for the students to the library, which was located at the Sami Abdulrahman Park.

Reading is a valuable skill as it develops the mind by exposing people to new vocabulary words and thus expanding their knowledge. Grade 4 students were taken to the library so they could be encouraged to read more books and appreciate their value.

The students were taken to the Zaytun Library to motivate them to read more books. Reading helps children develop their language skills and thus taking the students to the library was the perfect opportunity to show them where they can find some extra reading material to exercise their mind.

“The students were very excited to see all the books there. There was a special place for children to read, the students enjoyed the time they spent there and they thanked us for arranging this amazing day-trip,” a school staff member said.
